Instructional Trip is filling up quickly! |
|
The Instructional Trip to Schuss/Shanty Creek is a great early season tune up! It includes (optional) downhill or cross-country lessons for beginners to advanced skiers. |
|
|
We've moved it one weekend later, to start on Friday, January 10, so that it's not immediately after New Year's. The trip is filling up quickly, but we still have openings.

Belle Isle Day Trip on October 12
|
|
Spend a day with the ski club exploring Belle Isle. Bike, Hike, Kayak, or Do Whatever You Like. Join us for lunch after at Atwater Brewery in Detroit. The trip is free, with a $10 fee to enter Belle Isle, and the cost of your lunch. Space is limited. Click here for more information and to sign up. Note: Rain date is October 13.

The annual Terrace Inn weekend is set for February 7-9, 2025. The Terrace Inn has new owners and as a result, some costs, policies, and deadlines are different than what you may be used to.
Signups will begin November 14 at the XC kickoff. Signups will CLOSE on December 15, 2024. We must turn names and rooms in earlier than usual this year, so you will have to commit quickly. Additionally, the normal trip cancellation policy will now have to be enforced.
The trip is a club favorite and usually sells out. Traditionally, we downhill ski at Nubs Nob on Friday, Boyne Highlands on Saturday and Boyne Mountain on Sunday. The XC and snowshoe people generally make it up on the fly, as does the shopping contingent. Full details are available here. |

These trips are booked for 2025: Jan 10-12 Instructional at Shanty Creek - filling up quickly, spaces available Feb 7-9 Terrace Inn at Petoskey - signups begin at the Nov 14 meeting Feb 22 - Mar 1 Sun Valley - full, 1 on wait list, may have room for a couple March 8-15 Banff, Canada - full, 1 on wait list March 22 - 29 Vail - room for a couple or 2 people willing to share a room/bed Note: First payments for Sun Valley and Banff ski trips are due by the Corn Roast. If you are on one of these trips, you should have been contacted by the trip leaders. First Payment for Vail is September 4. |

The Ann Arbor Ski Club has a mobile app. It runs on IOS and Android. Jeff Crawford has written a nice piece on how to download the app. Members have reported problems with the app. An upgrade will correct the issue. You have to delete it from your phone, then reload. |
