Sign up procedure for Terrace Inn Ski Trip

At the Thursday, November 14 Cross-Country Kick-Off Meeting

Important Information:

• Priority assignments will be for current trip leaders and board members only.
• You must have your contract filled out before you get in line to sign up. You can download it below. We will have contracts available at the check-in desk.
• You must have your check filled out EXCEPT for the final amount prior to getting a room assignment from the signup crew. We will also take credit cards, but you will be charged the 3% processing fee.
• Terrace Inn has many different room types with 10 different prices. Decide which one you want and make one or two backup choices as well. Be fully prepared prior to talking to the signup crew.
• We will be running a triage table that will look over your contract and verify payment details prior to actual signup. Your form must be approved prior to room assignment. (Vicki and Susan)
• Triage table will initial form prior to proceeding to room assignment/payment table. Do not jump the line.
• Form verification and signups will be in the bar area

Timeline:

7:15 pm  -  Doors Open: Form line and begin having contract and payment verified.

7:15 pm  -  Proceed to room assignment. Pay amount for your room and get receipt.

8:00 pm  -  Meeting starts

• Terrace Inn contracts and checks mailed in after the meeting will be processed in order of postmark date.
• If the trip fills, a wait list will be started.

Room Assignments: Trip leaders will advise you of the rooms available. You cannot contact the Inn to request a specific room (they will not take your request).

Additional Nights:  The Inn is offering a rate of $100 + tax on Standard Rooms for those who want to book the night before or after (after you are signed up with this trip).  Upgraded Rooms will also be offered at a discount.  For the additional night(s) you will be in the same room booked for the AASC weekend and you need to make these arrangements only directly with the Inn by calling 800-530-9898. Be sure to let them know you are with the Ann Arbor Ski Club.

Alpine skiers usually ski Nubs Nob Friday, Boyne Highlands Saturday and Boyne Mountain Sunday. Nordic skiers can ski at Wildwood, which has several loops for different abilities, trails at Boyne Mountain, and at many surrounding State and local parks. Lift tickets and trail passes are not included in the package.

Rooms & Roommates: Due to the uniqueness of the Inn, the number of twin bed rooms are limited, therefore, first come, first served. All other standard rooms have a single queen or king bed. There is a total of 29 rooms at the standard rate. Queen and king suites (include a variety of different amenities) are available for an additional cost. If you are requesting a double occupancy room, we encourage you to try and find your own roommate. We will make every effort to match you with a roommate, but this is not guaranteed.  If there is not another single to share a room you will be offered Single Occ pricing or you can cancel.

Trip Itinerary

Friday: Check in after 3:00 pm. The evening begins at 6:30 pm with a Reception Party in the dining room with
                Pizza & Salad, followed by socializing by the fire in the great room. Terrace Inn bar will be open.

Saturday: Breakfast 8-10 a.m. Appetizers at 5:30. Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm followed by socializing, cards, games
                   Terrace Inn bar will be open.

Sunday: Breakfast 8-10 a.m., followed by check‐out by 11 a.m. and skiing

Wonderful cross-country skiing is at nearby Wildwood Hills Pathway and at both Nubs Knob and Boyne Highlands ski resorts. 

Expert Tip:  Some A²SC XC skiers stop and ski on the way to Terrace Inn at Hanson Hills, Forbush Corner, or Wildwood.
