Spend a day with the ski club exploring Belle Isle. Join us for lunch after at Atwater Brewery in Detroit

Time:             10am to 1pm – Explore the Island

                        1pm – Lunch at Atwater Brewery (10 minutes from the Island)  Visit Atwater Brewery Website - atwaterbeer.com

                        Afternoon – Optional Activity: Bike/Hike the Detroit Riverwalk

Meet Up:       In Front of Aquarium (3 Inselruhe Ave, Detroit, MI 48207) Get Directions Here

There is SO much to do on the Island:   Visit Belle Isle Park Website

  • Bike around the island (There are bike paths – takes about an Hour)
  • Hike – There are short hiking trails
  • Kayak/Canoe/Paddleboard – There is a lake within the island

 Sites to See:  Belle Isle Park Detail

  • Aquarium
  • Conservatory
  • Dossin Great Lakes Museum – Maritime theme
  • Great views of the Detroit skyline
  • Freighter watching
  • James Scott Memorial Fountain
  • Light House
  • Giant slide – for those who want to channel their inner child
  • Outdoor gardens

NOTE

  • Rain Date - Sunday October 13, 2024
  • $10 Park Pass to enter the island of Belle Isle.
  • There is bike rental on the Island.  It is located at the Aquarium.
  • There is parking on the roads and in parking lots all over the island including one at the Aquarium. 
  • A Michigan State Park pass is required for entry.  There are check points at the entrance to the island.
