Open to the public!Q: May non-members attend the Corn Roast? A: YES!! It's one of our favorite things! How Does it work? The annual Corn Roast, our single biggest event of the year, is traditionally held on the last Sunday of August from 1 - 6 pm.It's a combination Membership-drive and end-of-summer-celebration Jubilee, and a tradition that dates back to the club's founding. Entry fee for members and guests is $5 per person, which includes grilled corn on the cob, hot-dogs, and beverages, plus a chance to win prizes in a raffle. Members bring a dish to share and guests are welcome to join with this tradition. Also, fired-up grills will be available for do-it-yourself grilling of your own non-hot-dog entree. One or more volleyball nets go up. Many members play. Some bring cards or board games to fire the competitive spirit in shady spots. These days we're likely to have a band. And, often our merchant partners in the snow sports industry-- plus others-- are invited to show off their stuff. Sometimes they bring swag! Because alcohol is served (wine and beer only) you must be age 21 or over, or accompanied by a parent or guardian, to attend the A2SC Corn Roast. | Summer PicnicsSummer picnics are like mini-Corn Roasts--
We generally hold three each summer-- May, June, and July-- usually at Burns Park. And, we're devoted followers of the German Park Recreation Club. We attend their Summer picnics in large numbers too. SUMMER MEETINGS
Whereas Fall and Winter meetings (General Meetings) are held in large halls and everyone is encouraged to attend, and many do; Summer meetings are smaller affairs-- committees forming and pushing forward the new year's agenda.
