The Mountain:
With a base elevation of only 6900 feet, Steamboat is great for those with altitude sensitivity. The summit is at 10568 and the mountain has an official vertical drop of 3668 feet. The unique geographics of Steamboat make for unique snow – the trademarked “Champagne Powder.”
The Area
Steamboat Springs and the area around it offer a lot of activities that don't involve skis. Some personal favorites include Apres Ski the the T-Bar (Slope side 5* dive bar), Strawberry Hot Springs, Beau Jo's Colorado Style Pizza, F.M. Light and Co and just doing a general pub crawl downtown. Other activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing and day drinking.
Trip Includes:
Pre-party, RT airfare Detroit to Steamboat or Denver, ground transportation, baggage handling, 7 nights lodging, welcome reception, 5-day lift ticket.
Lodging:
“The Ranch” is located hillside, close to the mountain. Deluxe 3 or 2 bedroom condos with 3 or 2.5 (2br) baths and full kitchen, wood fireplace, private balcony, washer/dryer and garage. Featuring complementary shuttle, outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, and saunas.
Sign-ups: $150 deposit holds your spot. We HAVE spots but are running a waitlist as we need to manage roommates (Like we don't want to put an unrelated male and female in the same room. We can't have a condo with only one person in it etc. )
Cost:
Total cost is $2650 reduced from $2725 and you will get an additional credit if you have an IKON pass. We have renegotiated the airfare and are rebooked on United. We will take a bus from DEN.
