Election Meeting Next Week

Our Election Meeting next Thursday, March 30 at 7:30 pm at the UA Hall will include:

  • Elections for the Board of Directors and President
    Please come and vote! We need 15% of members for a quorum - or 52 people.
  • Business Meeting on the state of the club
  • Update on trips planned for 2024
  • Dancing to DJ Paul

      Week-long Ski Trips for 2024

      As we put all the details together for our 2024 trips, here are some dates to help plan:

      • Zermatt, Switzerland & Milan, Italy - Feb. 2-12
      • Snowmass, Colorado - Feb. 17-24
      • Steamboat, Colorado- March 2024 (dates tbd)

      These are All IKON pass resorts.

          News & Info

          Change in Membership Dues

          Membership dues will be changed from $20 to $30 for the 2023-24 membership year. (We have had a $20 reduction in the standard $40 annual dues for a number of years.) Dues for the 2024-25 year will be $40.

          The membership term is from May 1 to April 30. Anyone who joins or renews their membership within 60 days of May 1 will have their membership expire on April 30 of the following year.

              Rewards Program to be Discontinued

              As we go into the new 2023-24 membership year on May 1, we will be discontinuing the Rewards program. Anyone with volunteer reward points will be able to redeem them until the Corn Roast on August 27. After this date, the A2 ski club will open a club store where different items can be purchased.

                  Race Team
                  Season Recap

                  Ann Arbor Race Team though small and proud, valiantly competed again this year. The race season was cut short this year due to weather conditions early in the season at Boyne, with the first race weekend canceled.

                  Our VP Todd Newman inspired the team with his two 3rd places, a 4th and 5th place despite running only 4 races this season. The rest of the team finished the last race weekend with one 1st in the GS , two 1st in the slalom and two 1st places in the Cantor cup.

                  The team finished the season with eleven 1st place finishes, one 2nd place, and two 3rd place finishes. Two of the racers won their class for the year. The Ann Arbor Race Team looks forward to next race season with hopes that more skiers will join the fun.

                      A2SC Texting Service

                      The Ann Arbor Ski Club texting service for members is now operational and available for sign-up. To use this optional service you must opt in by updating your A2SC membership profile.

                      Here’s How:

                      Log in to the A2SC website. (Hint - Use the email address where you received this eBlast)

                      Once logged in follow these steps:

                      1. Click the large red “Edit Profile” box.
                      2. Head down to “We would like to send you relevant text messages”.
                      3. To read the consent agreement click the link that says “I consent to receive text messages. From….” . Note that it will open in a separate window.
                      4. Return to the original window to consent to the agreement by checking the box next to the link. Leave blank if you do not agree or do not want to receive text messages.
                      5. Return to the top of the page and click the large red “Save” box.
                      6. To log out click the person icon in the upper right corner and select “Log Out”.

                      After that look forward to receiving your first text alert in the next few days.

                      A2SC Mobile App

                      The Ann Arbor Ski Club has a mobile app.  It runs on IOS and Android.  Jeff Crawford has written a nice piece on how to download the app.

                      Members have reported problems with the app.  An upgrade will correct the issue.  You have to delete it from your phone, then reload.
