Corn Roast

The annual Corn Roast, our single biggest event of the year, is traditionally held on the last Sunday of August from 1:00-6:00 p.m.  It's a combination membership drive end of summer celebration ski trip rollout jubilee, and a tradition that dates back to the club's founding.

Entry fee for members and guests is $5 per person, which includes grilled corn on the cob, hotdogs, and beverages, plus a chance to win prizes in a raffle.

Members bring a dish to share and guests are welcome to join with this tradition.  Also, fired-up grills will be available for DIY grilling of your own non-hotdog entre.

Because alcohol is served (wine and beer only) you must be age 21 or over, or accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend the A2SC Corn Roast.

One or more volleyball nets go up. Many members play.  Some bring cards or board games to fire the competitive spirit in  shady spots.  These days we're likely to have a band.  And, often our merchant partners in the snow sports industry-- plus others-- are invited to show off their stuff.  Sometimes they bring swag!

Summer Picnics

Summer picnics are like mini-Corn Roasts-- out doors, grilling, volleyball, and catching up.  We generally hold about three each summer.

Summer Meetings

Whereas Fall and Winter meetings are held in large halls and  everyone is encouraged to attend and many do, Summer meetings are smaller affairs-- committees forming and pushing forward the new year's agenda.
