Allow me to introduce myself. I am the new President of the Ann Arbor Ski Club, and I am proud to bring news of upcoming events, activities, and trips-- proof that our club is back in business!
But first, I want to thank Greg Robertson for his excellent leadership of the club these past 4 years. We are lucky that he still serves as a Director on the Board lending us his experience.
These years have been an unusual time due to Covid. Club officers and the Board of Directors tirelessly served extended terms. I thank them too.
I am happy to say we are back to full speed ahead and doing what we do best as a club-- ski, plan trips, socialize and enjoy each other's company.
The club has organized three ski trips for 2023 to Canada, Colorado, and California. Sign-ups for these trips will begin at the annual Corn Roast on August 21.
Plus, I am very excited to announce a new club adventure-- a June 2023 river cruise in France. It will be in the Burgundy region. Starting on July 16 trip leaders will start accepting a Save-My-Spot deposit. Watch for more details next week.
Besides those trips, there are several Michigan weekend trips planned. Happy-hour has started again and soon so will our Euchre Night. It will begin again on September 17.
If you haven’t checked the club's website, please give it a look. We are adding new activities every week.
Also, we are seeing a lot of activity on the club's Facebook group page. It has recently become more up to date with the latest community events news and photos.
You cannot have this much activity without significant member participation. So, thank you to everyone volunteering their time to host events and/or to join them.
Finally, I want to personally thank the following people for their time and energy filling vital club leadership roles. A club is only as strong as its volunteers. You all rock!
Members! When you see any of the following people, please, give them a thank you for their time and efforts.
