General Meetings to Restart in September
Mt. Brighton will be used again for the February and March 2022 General Meetings. Otherwise, 2021-2022 General Meetings are planned—one for each month between September and March and two in April 2022 (Elections and Aloha), but we don’t know where. Cobblestone is not yet accepting reservations. There's a rumor they might start again in June.

Who's Who - 2021
Normally we start our new year in May with the expectation that everyone who wants will rejoin by or at the Corn Roast. Also, May in most years is the month that the new year's elected officers and Board get started taking over where the previous team left off. A once in 100-year pandemic changed all that. Because the BOD had to twice postpone the club's Annual Meeting due to the health crisis we're starting a third year, per the club's bylaws, with the same officers and Board of Directors. Here are some of the key players.

A look back at normal times. We can get kind of busy, right?
Formal scheduled events are still a ways out. Stay safe! Your editor has heard of multiple biking meetups getting on our social calendar in June.

The Fast Lane Comments from our leadership on the 2022 ski trip season.

Early Purchase Advice
The trip costs we've published may change as a new travel industry supporting snow sports evolves post-pandemic.
The big players have changed how people buy lift passes. Multi-resort passes such as EPIC and IKON are becoming the primary way to ticket lift passes and buying one early, since they're discounted, might be a good idea for you. Each system has multiple offers from which to choose so it's vital to do your research. Whistler, Park City, and Mount Brighton are EPIC resorts. Big Sky, Boyne Highlands, and Boyne Mountain are IKON resorts.
For members considering our trips and advanced purchase of discounted multi-resort season passes, our Out West leadership for 2022--- Carol, Irene, and Lane-- offers the following advice. They think it makes sense to advance purchase an EPIC or IKON ski pass for the 2021-2022 season... ONLY IF One, A member travelling with us next year plans to ski a lot of EPIC or IKON resorts out west.
OR Two, A member considering Whistler and/or Park City and who plans to ski Mt. Brighton a lot with an EPIC pass
OR Three, A member considering Big Sky and who plans to ski Boyne Mountain, and/or Boyne Highlands a lot with an IKON pass OR A member plans a combination of One with Two or Three, which then justifies the investment of a discounted advance purchase that cannot be refunded.

The Ski Trip Committee created a poster describing our next ski season. They'll keep updating this poster as more details come in.
Prices Across the Board Increased
Trip prices are increasing quite a bit in 2022 over our 2020 trips.
Air, lift tickets, and lodging all went up.
For example, with Big Sky the trip airfare went up $149, lift tickets $112, and housing $72 for a total increase of $333. A 16% increase over our last pre-pandemic quote.
Note: All advance purchase of EPIC and IKON season passes are non-refundable.
But, Whistler!
As for Whistler, the border with Canada is closed. Trip leaders anticipate it will be open in January 2022, but that is not guaranteed.
Therefore, we don’t think it wise to advance purchase an EPIC pass for use only there. For this trip the leaders were able to organize a nicely priced EPIC-branded 5-day pass.

Memorial Day, the unofficial start of Summer, is also a Federal holiday honoring our fallen veterans, the ones who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our country. It became an official Federal holiday in 1968 at the same time the three-day weekend got invented.
