Rapid Round-up

It's Official!  Corn Roast 2021 Was Approved

A Corn Roast was approved for Sunday August 29 to be held at the Hudson Mills.

Extended Membership

The BOD extended the membership year by an additional 12 months.  Therefore existing memberships are automatically extended until 04-30-2022.

Any NEW person wishing to join the club before that time must pay $20 dues

Annual Business Meeting Delayed Again

The annual business meeting/election is delayed until March 2022.  All board positions and officers of the Ann Arbor Ski Club are extended until the next annual business meeting, per the A2SC constitution.

No PayPal No More

The club has stopped accepting online payments.

General Meetings to Restart in September

Mt. Brighton will be used again for the February and March 2022 General Meetings.  Otherwise, 2021-2022 General Meetings are planned—one for each month between September and March and two in April 2022 (Elections and Aloha), but we don’t know where.  Cobblestone is not yet accepting reservations.

Lane Hotchkiss is our ski trips coordinator.

DNR Turns 100

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is celebrating its 100 years of existence in 2021.  The DNR is urging all Michiganders to join them to take time to reflect on the importance of our outdoor cultural and natural resources during 2021. To help out the agency has set up a searchable “100 ways to celebrate the DNR’s centennial.”  

Like learning about Michigan's nine, count'em nine, species of squirrels.

The National Park Service App is the brand new official app for all 420+ national parks. 

The product, simply titled National Park Service, is available for free on Android and Apple and boasts a staggering number of features, like accessibility information, lodging reservations, hike suggestions, audio tours, restaurant hours, and, perhaps most important, maps available to download for offline use.
