MACC Racing

Two race weekends are behind us. Two more weekends are ahead.  More detail is in Alan's report below.

Download the MACC schedule here.

Alan's Racing Report

Due to a lack of snow the first race weekend was postponed a week.   Eleven members registered to race and on the delayed first weekend eight competed; all male at that first competition at Boyne.   We have racers in different classes divided according to age, gender, and ability.  There are a couple different race events; Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super Giant Slalom.

Everyone had a good time.  Saturday was snowy. Six inches of new snow fell during the races adding to the challenge.  On Sunday with fantastic snow and abundant sunshine we grinned through single-digit temperatures.

Two more race weekends are coming.  February 26-27 and March 10-12.  Lodging is a little up in the air at this time.  The old place got sold.  Our team is looking for new digs.  If you have a suggestion send it to Alan.

Tips & Member News

Big Sky 2022

Carol Metty and Lane Hotchkiss led a trip to Big Sky last week.  From pictures their group posted on Facebook it appears the snow was sufficient, but not special, though the skies were pretty damn good.   Lone Peak wasn't socked in all week as can happen hence there are a lot of nice Lone Peak shots to share.

Cool photos.  Thanks!
