The membership fee is $40 for a single membership
and $70 for a married couple. You must be at least 21 years
of age to join. This fee includes the monthly newsletter that
is distributed by first class mail to all members, meetings
with refreshments, detailed economical trip planning,
planned parties, membership to the Metropolitan Detroit Ski
Council, winter sports instructions, and more.
A Club membership runs from September 1st
to August 31st of each year.
The membership ranges from 400 to
500 people, depending on the time of year. All big clubs are
hard to feel comfortable in at first, but be persistent and
don't hesitate to introduce yourself. The general meetings attract
about 80 to 100 people, but most other activities involve smaller
groups of 15 to 50.
Remember, this club and all its events are
run by volunteers. You will meet more people and have
more fun if you also volunteer and help run activities.
