Bikes, Beats & Eats on the Lakeland Trail
Wednesdays -- Now - Thru August 30th (except July 5th)
Leader: Joe Knopp
Meet Joe and other AASC bikers at 5:00 pm at theZukey Lake Tavernparking lot (5011 Girard Drive, Pinckney, MI). We’ve been given permission to park our carsat the far end of the parking lot(just as you enter off Girard, and before the first speed bump) with the assumption that most of us will stay to enjoy refreshments and live music after the ride
We’ll first pedal east to Hamburg Road, then turn back, pedaling west where, for those wanting a shorter ride, we’ll pick those people up at 5:30 as we pass through the Zukey parking lot again on our way west, to the end of the paved trail before turning back. The full pedal is about 17 miles round trip on the paved, predominately flat trail; the shorter ride is about 12 miles. Many of us work further away, and getting there by 5:30, even, is a challenge. For those folks, just get there as early as you can, start peddling west, and meet the rest of us on our way back. At the end of the ride, we’ll gather on the roof-top deck atZukey Lake Tavernfor refreshments and live music. Remember....cash only on the roof-top deck.
North Lake Drive performs live on the Roof-Top Deck at Zukey Lake Tavern (5011 Girard, Pinckney, MI) from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Great food and great music overlooking the lake – fun way to spend Hump Day evening.
