Mega Post Party / Summer Picnic

Our summer picnic has been combined with our Megaparty to take place at the Ann Arbor Festival Top of the Park with our special reserved space.  This event is for all who went on an AASC ski trip this past season, all of our current members, and AASC members can bring one guest. Watch for our special "members only" eblast with full details coming soon.

Tonight's musical acts:

The popular and versatile 10-piece Detroit ensemble The Sun Messengers (10:15 p.m.) and Madcat Midnight Blues Journey (8:30 p.m.), a quartet of local blues, folk, and jazz veterans led by harmonica wizard and multi-instrumentalist Peter "Madcat" Ruth. With guitar and dobro virtuoso Drew Howard, bassist-vocalist Mark Schrock, and percussionist Mike Shimmin. Also, young local R&B singer Madelyn Grant (5 p.m.), the highly literate Chicago pop-folk singer-songwriter Briar Rabbit (6 p.m.), and the local Celtic and Americana fiddle-cello duo The Moxie Strings (7 p.m.).
