After returning to our cars, and loading our bikes, we’ll gather on the roof-top deck at Zukey Lake Tavern for apres-pedal refreshments and socializing.
Meet at 2:00 pm at the Zukey Lake Tavern parking lot. We’ve been given permission to park at the far end of the lot-- just as you enter off Girard, and before the first speed bump.
They're happy to accommodate us since many will stay to enjoy refreshments after the ride.
We will first pedal east to Whitmore Lake Road then turn back pedaling west, where we'll pass through the Zukey lot again. You might choose to stop here, or keep riding. See below.
From this halfway point we'll ride to the end of the paved trail west of Pinckney before returning to Zukey. The full ride is 23 miles round trip on the paved, predominately flat trail. The shorter ride is 11 miles. If you can't bike with us join us on the deck at Zukey Lake Tavern for a brew or pizza.

You can bike as far or as short as you want, up to 22 miles, allowing a range of abilities to participate.
Or, don't bike it. Enjoy this paved route on your terms.
The route includes the Dexter-Huron Metropark loop with a connection from the village of Dexter using the Dexter-Hudson Mills trail. Except for a couple of boardwalks the entire route is paved.
And, dogs on a leash are allowed.
Tip! Park at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, end of Grand Street.

Happy hour specials include $2.00 off wine, domestic draft & bottle beer, and select mixed drinks until 6:00. The food menu offers a variety of appetizers, soups & salads, and entrees.
We’ll be sitting on the patio listening to live music, unless inclement weather drives us inside.
Art Fair starts on this day, so it’s a good time to get out of Ann Arbor but remember to check traffic on US-23 North before leaving. We have been here a number of times last summer and always had a great time.

One excellent way to get to know the club and meet members, or to learn what's new in the club is to come to a General Meeting.
The fun typically includes ice-breaking conversation over snacks and beverages followed by dancing to a DJ's tunes, with the business conducted in-between. Some nights more business happens, but on a typical evening it's concluded in about 30 minutes leaving plenty of time for entertainment. What kind of business? Filling up trips! Announcing trips, answering questions. Also, announcing and answering questions regarding upcoming events. And, asking and answering questions!

A2SC fields a competitive racing team. In 2014 our team brought home a trophy. Build up your skills and your speed and have fun doing it.
The Michigan Alpine Competition Council (MACC) is;
"...a non-profit organization made of amateur ski racers who work as volunteers to run the main Alpine ski racing program for adults in the Michigan region. Our race series covers 12 races over five weekends each year at Boyne Mountain. It's open to virtually all adult recreational racers and also 14, 15, 16, and 17-year old racers with MACC parents. You race in a class based on ability and gender. Ability groups with lots of racers are further divided by age. Most races are FIS slalom and giant slalom. We also have a genuine super-G and a super-combined fun race at the end of the season."
